The deactivated Cambaíba sugar cane mill, located in the city of Campos Dos Goytacazes, is a place of beauty, mystery, and speculation. It used to be a powerful workforce within the Rio De Janeiro region. It has been accused of being a refuge for heinous acts. It has been reborn with nature attempting to reclaim it. It was invaded by social movements. It was cleared out. It became the subject of a documentary. It served as the setting for an experimental horror film. Now, at its highest point and during one night a year, it will be the venue for the BR Banshee Festival. Exoticism. Decay. Mystery. Resilience.
